Mull29 I couldn't tell you what Scotland owes. We know how much Scotland would be short "in income terms" but thats not the same thing as anyone's share of the national debt. breffni, there's been a bit of an oil crisis and an almost halving of the price in the last few months or so..

Over how many years? I've no idea what any of the nations "owe" of the debt. Maybe we should have a referendum to see if we want the scots to stay?

 

Now theres an idea might swell have another over the EU as well, will it happen not on your nelly

There ya go it's bound to be lower oil and gas still only accounts for around 10% of Scotland's earnings

We exploited a lot of nations and their people to get where we are today, now people in those nations aspire to what we have, just reaping what we've sown

 

 

Total bollocks. British empire died generations ago and on the whole we left countries in better shape than we found them - ask the Indians for example.

 

At end of ww2 we had no empire but debt that would choke a horse, we've struggled through ever since.
