I would if I could sell the stuff. Not ONCE this season as anyone rung up to order softwood but I have managed to talk a handful of folk into buying it. Still got most of it left though

Shame; I'm a stones throw from ya and am now getting requests for s/wood over h/wood; including spuce. They love DF, Larch, Mac etc.

I wonder how the feller would stand if some one inexperienced was injured dealing with them??

I think they could be in very hot water.

You can be liable for some one falling off a timber stack, which is far less dangerous than this, imo

I'm guessing at this ... He probably felled them for a bit of cash after he finished his day job so would you be able to prove responsibility. Would of been so much easier to dismantle it.

Made my offer but it's been declined.

Blessing in disguise me thinks.

Have you been in touch with your local euro forest agent surly they have got hardwood some areas there well priced others a little expensive. Last time we bought hardwood off them it was £38.00 there was a bit of birch and alder in it but ok we bought ours through a hauliers acount so may of got discount.

Wonder if the trees where felled due to the new BPS payments system if so its a crying shame and the idiots at RPA should be made aware of the consequences of there stupid rules. Unfortunately I can see a lot of mature hedgerow trees having the same fate in the next 3 months as farmers get to grips with the the new BPS system.
