Doing a connie hedge today, 30ft up and cut a wasps nest in half :scared1:

Nice and calmy undid my anchor, grabbed my hedgetrimmer and calmy climbed down, but inside I was panicing like a gud un. :001_smile:

Got stung quite a few times on my right arm, which is swollen right up.

Our lass wanted to know why they couldn't have stung me somewhere else so she could have benefited from it cheeky bitch :001_tongue:

i had a giant wood wasp come out a privet hedge i was cutting today scared the hell out of me, nearly fell of my ladder, it was huge and making a lot of noise, i couldnt decide if it was a hornet to start with so took evasive action with the rake and got it pinned down, so i could see it better, fantastic little beastie

dean,

we got stung a couple of weeks ago,me once on the hand ,groundie three times on the face and five times on the back.

as the day went on i could see the swelling going up my arm and by home time it was past my elbow (groundie was fine).

when i got home my wife insisted i call the out of hours docs at the hospital, good job too because it was infected and i was about six inches away from four days of intravenous antibiotics, dont take it lightly if its still swelling get it sorted
