Without wanting to cause offence to those north of the border, I will be changing my name to McMonkeyd.

 

Just returned from spending me Fortieth up in the Cairngorms.

Try to get up to Scotland almost each year, been going since my teens.

I get knocked sideways by the Majesty of the Locks, Glens & Monros.

I dont really travel afar these days as I get all my boxes ticked with a trip up North.

hey dave, looked like you had another great time up there, the area you were in is stunning, i have only ever driven past that side of the cairngorms. i love braemar, havent been through it in years though since my brother moved through to the aviemore side, is the excellent outdoor shop still there beside the fife arms?

So many people seem to go on holidays the separate the family, kids clubs and the like. Big mistake, IMHO, our Kidd's grow up so fast and our lives are so busy, the holidays are a great time to really enjoy our children's company and find the things that really make them tick.

 

I love Scotland, BUT I cannot cope with the midges:scared1: how were they??
