Too big to fell, too small to climb

I must live a very blessed life, each morning I wake and think "today I will meet an unclimbable tree" but it just never happens

 

IME, if its to small to climb I cut it down, put on my shoulder and through the chipper in one.

Huck, I've dealt with loads of unclimbable trees.

Your wrong for two very good reasons

 

1. You havent seen every tree.

2 Ive been to a tree job were the tree has fell to pieces as ive climbed into it.

In regards to 2, it was a seriously well rotted pop that stood there but for the grace of God. The top was pole sawed from a step ladder then it was pushed over, no damage to the conservatory or house and no accidents.

If it is the diameter stated then as above arrow cut it. I've done similar trees where it wasn't necessary to climb it but not able to fell. A step cut works well too, keep it upright, put the saw down, snap it off and walk the butt out and let the top fall over, works on trees up to around 15 - 20ft with a 4" diameter.
