Wrist supports?

Hi Chaps,

Can anyone recommend any wrist supports that you can climb in and are up to the job?

They've been aching a bit from work recently and want to preserve them. Happy to buy top quality for things that will help look after my body.

Any help much appreciated

Lloyd

Maybe your heading for a Ganglion cyst.

Something like this could help when working.

Or try keeping your wrist straight when using heavy things.

to be honest they are pretty useless imo! I broke my wrist pretty badly a few years ago, did wear a brace for a month or 2 when climbing after I started back but didn't help much. It was a 661 motocross/mtb one is that helps though.

Way I see it is brace or no brace your always going to be putting a huge amount and strain and stress through the wrist! You could always try using a power ball to see if that's helps,

Made my wrists a lot stronger and supposed to be good for you

I've got one of them, it's second time I've had one! Don't know much about them though

have you had it checked out - i went to the docs with wrist ache and lack of grip. having been referred to a physio today it turns out i have tennis elbow in both arms. seems like a mix of stretch, manipulation (was oww!) and i am guessing some strength exercises to follow. apparently my biceps are too big for my wrists!

Keep an eye out on Aldi, they do a sports wrist support and it normally is on offer in next few weeks. They are neoprene and have hole in for thumb. I've used them for the past 3 years to reduce ache and trigger finger from use of saw, blower etc. I normally buy half a dozen pairs to see me through the year.

I used the aldi ones last year for a few months as had trouble with tendernitis, definitely helped.

Tavistock saws sell shlek gloves, big wide wrist strap and anti vibe in hand

. They're fingerless gloves, in my personal opinion they are very good and quite durable. Mine lasted years. Also do pressups on knuckles. Seems to help me that is, I have starts doing pressup sets on wrists too with wrists bent round, think martial arts people do it for strength or something
