Chainsaw drill bar

Can anyone help me with the chainsaw drill bar. I've seen a video on here where a guide hole is drilled into the timber, then by attaching a small bar to the nose of a chainsaw you can bore out to the size or the bar.

Or a link to where I can buy one.

Thanks

Yeah I would like one of those as well ,but no idea where to get one would be cool if someone did though

Cheers Mark

I think I know what he's after. A small rod that clamps onto the end of the guide bar to allow accurate boring once a pilot hole has been drilled.

I think it was Delabodge who posted the video. I'd be curios to know if it was custom made or bought.

Here it is again guys...

I would imagine it's a DIY'er, 3/4"/19mm round bar with a flat on one side, bit of an additional recess to clear the chain, and a couple of tapped holes to fix it to the saw bar.

I could make you one for a price :001_smile:

Below is a pic from Höhler, Hobler, Rindenschäler, Sägeführungen, Kettenfräsen, Kleinsägewerke, Messhilfen, Bohrgeräte, Seilwinden, Sägebock, Holz - Spaltgeräte, Schubkarren, Schärfmaschinen, Windräder, Motorgeräte, Schleif-Service,, their 'hole borer attachment is 215CHF (~£157) don't know if that includes the drill bit.

I'll make you one for that price! :001_tongue:

Otherwise go buy yourself a bit of bar and an angle grinder...

But seriously msg me if you want some assistance.
