Interested to hear what size bars people are running on what saws for felling and snedding and a comfy productive day in the woods.

Dolmars stihls and huskys as I'm trying to narrow down what I want on one.

Cheers

The old rule of thumb is divide the cc by 3 and that gives you max bar length in inches . So 16" downwards if you use that formula

Found a big difference in comfort using a 560 with a 15" over a borrowed 261 on a 16" so I'm after a new small saw .. I would go with a 13" interesting no ones using one!

Found the 261 handled nice and can use all day but lacking a bit of power.

Personally I'd go 13" for fast cutting, with an 8 pin rim. Only because I run a 15" on the 357.

Ordinarily 13" on either the 550 or a 242/42, but have found the 550 using a 15" more and more, but mainly because it's doing stuff that ordinarily would get he 357 thrown at, but loses a bit of it's flickability.

The 550 on a 13" bar is as close as I've found to the handling of a 242 so far, which is what all saws should feel like for snedding :thumbup1:
