I tried airstream, wore them around the house for a good two hours. They were light, but I have wide feet with a high arch and the boney bit above foot is slightly raised, I couldn't wait to get them off, I felt crippled by them. Ended up getting a pair of prabos, class 2 goretex, 160quid. Just my experience. I wanted air streams, but just didn't work for me. If you have stupid is as stupid does feet like me, I'd be reluctant to mail order air streams

Well I went for the haix airpower gold in the end. After wearing them for two days the verdict is good so far. Very sturdy, very comfy and not too bulky- almost the same size as my normal steel toe caps. Which is a welcome change to me, as wearing my oregon class 2 boots for the last few years has left me feeling like I've been training to go into space.

I'm going to buy some new boots this week. They won't be used for climbing, but I want them too be lighter and less bulky than the oregon boots I have been using for 2 years. I've got £170 to spend and no more so I have a choice from Radmore of

Arbotec hydrofell £143

Stein explorer £155

Husky technical £158

Stein wolf £168

Haix airpower gold £170

I am naturally drawn to the cheapest and the most expensive... Im going to go and try them on before I buy, but really I need to know which of these boots to avoid? Thanks

Well , did you get boots , which ones and what are they like ? I went to Radmores but they had none in my size (42) waiting to hear from them , probably going for Stein explorers myself .
