chick pea stew loaded with sausages, bacon, pulses, onion, tomato etc. We cook it up in bulk and freeze it in those chinese type plastic containers which are the right size to heat up and decant into my insulated food flask....keeps the food hot till 3pm if ya have a late lunch break. Pulses with choritzo and chilli's is great on a cold day. We also stew up cheap cuts of beef and i add rice to that, basically any cheap cuts of meat get stewed up and used as a cheap lunch. I always carry an emergency supply of tinned fish, herring, mackerel, sardines etc just in case a job runs over and i have a big climb late in the day and require a 'quick fix'. I make sure i eat really well as i consider it helps to keep me sharp and safe.
