To be honest I think the mascara is the least of your worries there mate

 

I tend to wear a T shirt, Fred Perry then a Regatta fleece jumper and a hoodie on top if it gets cool.

I dont handle the cold as well as I used to. In my 20's i'd quite happily wear a tshirt all year round. These days I generally wear 2 base layers. They are essential for climbing IMO, for me anyway. Good thin layers that dont restrict movement at all.

If you want to graft, these are the best compression tops I've found. They cost about £55. You'll earn that back in a day or so with the extra work you can do.
