I just got me a new Stihl 201T-C with M-tronic...

I don't mean to derail but I am I've been thinking about this after the 540 affair I think stihl/husqvarna need to give these saws that they want testing to the biggest, hairiest and rough arsed tree surgeons and get proper feed back. Non of these Nancy pansy pruner types but people that dismantle trees all the time so the saw is abused then we might get a better idea of reliability and performance. I'm not saying the OP won't do this I just get the feeling that 'yes' men test these saws and are afraid to upset stihl/husquvarna[/

 

Christ ....so you have to climb like a demented silver back to be a real tree man is that what your saying, maybe it's just some of us have refined are skill set that we don't climb so out of control we smash all are gear up.

Do it because in the short space of time you have the saw to give feed back you'll identify weaknesses with the saw, it's not yours so be rough with it, drop it on the strip bang it against stems push it through big timber, spear cut big limbs off you know the score

Every ones different, you have often complained that the brake handle on the 200's were weak and you kept breaking them, I never had this problem, but my 540 simply fell to pieces
