100k turnover mate, not profit.

i can cut a lot of stuff down mate, so i need a quick way of clearing my feet, a 6 inch to-behind and a transit could never keep up, in a 3 man team most guys will be working about 60% of there capability. have 2 guys and beast it, dont walk when you can run, if one hand is empty carry something else. it is all about being organised. and good at your job. i am usually cheaper than my competitors, i just do it quicker and more in a day.

 

there is a council team down here where the team leader expects the team to run not walk etc etc , a couple months ago the tem were putting his method of work into practise on a night job when the team leader ran to the truck that was towing a lighting tower to pull it forward , he jumped in to truck and drove a few meters down the road towing the lighting tower strait into an 11kv power line , he then jumped out of the truck after hearing the explosion he then tried to turn the lighting tower off , he was then electrocuted by the 11kv line through the lighting rig . by the time he re-gained consciousnes the lighting tower and brand new iveco tipper had burnt to the ground , the council now see that rushing only cost them more in the long run .

some can do it, some cant. the fact that it wasnt his kit and he now gets a years full pay on the sick doesnt help your arguement:001_tongue:

sorry SWB it was not intended as a side to the argument , was just sharing some info with you all , but your right if the kit aint yours it does not matter , he caused over 20k of dammage and has not even been given a writen warning . he was site foreman and was meant to over see the saftey of all on site . it just proves that some LA'S are not as squeeky clean as they try to make out !!

These things happen and worse.

 

We all make mistakes or we wouldnt need insurance, and what would the poor old insurance companies and solicitors do then

i know we all make mistakes but that was a fairly major one . i agree n one is perfect but you would least expect it from a senior member of staff that has been in the job a long time . but this is getting away from the thread so i will shut up lol!!!!
