What spikes do you use

Alright chaps, I'm after your experience with different types if gaffs, I'v got the Ali geckos at the minute with the leather bottoms on, their good, nice and light, but I find they slip of my instep due to the almost triangular shape on them

As they don't sit flush with the bottom of my boot ( I climb with airstreams, they normally slip if my left more than my right but I think that's down to my dodgy ankle) i think I'v got he euro gaffs on at the minute, but every tree I'v done recently has had ivy or really flakey/fissured bark and I was thinking about getting some tree/longer ones. My question is what type if spikes do you rate and find the most comfy, and are tree spikes usable on thinner barked trees and conifers etc. thanks

Thanks for the replies people, I'v go them on today on some nice thin leaning sycamores and I'v just done the bottom strap up tighter than usual and they seem to be a bit better and not slipping, what's the benefit of Velcro bottoms Marc? It's bit something I even thought about to be honest. Are the gaffs easy to change? Like could I have the long ones in and just change them for be short ones when needed? Cheers
