Waste from processor

I fill large paper bags/ McDonald's bags with any waste then drop a fire lighter in the top. Ideal for lighting the fire as long as they don't get damp.

I thought you were going to say, you returned it so they could fill their burgers with more of the same.

Grt someone to sort through it and sell it as kindling

Saw a fella at the commercial waste centre rummaging through macerated wood pile picking out log burner sized bits last week. Hat off to the man, I've done a fair bit of skip diving myself. There must be a "need" for splitter/processor waste, wether there's money to be made from it is a different matter. There are so many people in fuel poverty, there must be someone that would appreciate the opportunity?

Anyone use one of those log tumbler cleaners to separate the debris?

Yup our logs go through a tumbler, suprising how much dedris gets knocked out. Sell the waste to a farmer with a big boiler. Wouldn't be without it now.

Hmmm....going to look into this for when I split next years wood....been so busy this year we've had to keep clearing the rubbish to keep the yard tidy...and paying to go to a green waste centre!!!! I like the paper bag ideas as lighters...or I'll just heat my own house with it!...or even small net bags as "complimentary" natural kindling for customers?
