Mines exactly the same feels restricted and gutless only had it 4 months was hoping it would get better with age. What exhaust did you get I may look into that

I will take some pics and put them up tomorrow and part numbers. The old pipe has a longer spout and the one I got off an older machine has a short spout. Maybe they a different inside too.

Got a new stihl blower at work 3weeks ago and it's not as powerful as the 2year old Mikita I'll be watching this post with interest

I'm also pretty underwhelmed with my 3-week old 86.

It feels like it's got asthma.

 

It's also hellish plasticky. Doesn't feel like it will last for ten years like the one it replaced.

Hey Mark why not take the exhaust off your old one and try it on the new one, that might work mate.
