I'm also pretty underwhelmed with my 3-week old 86.

It feels like it's got asthma.

It's also hellish plasticky. Doesn't feel like it will last for ten years like the one it replaced.

I've had one a few weeks too and it feels the same! It seems to gurgle most of the time but every now and then it'll rev better and gain power. I did wonder if it was just too rich and leaning it up a tad would be the answer. I'll have a dabble tomorrow!

I noticed that if you put the end of the chute as close to the ground as possible it revs a lot higher

All blowers do that though. I recon the new blowers with the C in the title have a cat in the exhaust and that's why the a flat as a fart, bit like taking the baffles out of a 50 mo ped:)

Don't get me on mopeds, 1977 ap50:thumbup1: Sorry to derail. Cat in the exhaust seems feasable:thumbup1:

I said as soon as we got our new one, through replacement on insurance, that it was gutless in comparison to our original bg86. I'm glad it wasn't just me now! I had noticed that without the squashed nozzle that it would blow more volume but less accuracy and force. We soon surmised that it was the exhaust suppressing the machine so would be interested in finding out the part number for a different option?

Thanks, James
