HI,

I need some new rear tires on the van, and have been looking around for something wit a bit more grip as I live in the middle of nowhere, and the roads get muddy etc.

I found these on eBay, as my local guy wasnt much help:

SINGLE 185R14 102L KINGPIN KMS VAN COMMERCIAL MUD & SNOW TYRE 18514C 185/80R14 | eBay

Has anyone got or used these, or similar, basically is it worth it or should i just go for normal tyres?

Cheers

Leo

You say Mud/Winter tires ....Winter tires are a different compound to summer tires to allow the tire to come up to working temp better . So you can get mud tires in summer or winter compound as you can ordinary road tires in winter or summer compound .

LGP Eddie recommended them to me as it's hard to get 15" off rd tyres for transit twin, when I enquiries further a couple of agri engineers I know said they run their tranny s on them and work well, so I've just ordered some.:)

Mud terrain would be your best best as they can be used all year round where As winter tyres are specifically for winter or temps under 7degrees. Once the weather rises to above the 7 degrees point they have no advantages
