Reducing a small 15ft hornbeam tree yesterday and severed my arm with my topping saw. Ive never come across a tree with so many branches crossing each other causing so much tension and compression, this is what caught me out. Going for a operation to repair arm sunday. Just a reminder to take care out there. .:001_smile::thumbup:

Not wishing to have a pop at anyone but the above statement gets me a bit, many young people in the trade seem to think its par for the course to pick up the odd chainsaw wound.

 

Its not really the attitude imo, I've neither had nor seen one in 20 ish years mostly through being careful and that's the way it should be.

 

Like I said not having a go at the guy that posted that but these accidents are generally avoidable.
