No fine, no points (great thus far:thumbup:).....Don't drive it on the motorway again until you know if it's legal or not. Simples.

Kind of have to get to some jobs though! It would add hours onto some days. But I guess if itas me that I would be culpable for any trouble, rather than my employer, I guess I'll have to explain how much longer jobs will take!

If it gets registered for road use will I need a hgv license?

The fact it takes longer to get to site is not your issue. As the driver it's your obligation to drive legally.

As said about working on the motorway is no excuse to drive it on the motorway! It should either be trailered to site or an appropriately taxed vehicle is taken. It's a bit like saying you need to tow a 2ton chipper to site without a post '97 license just because you need the chipper on site. Surprised you got away with it!

Which legislation states no Agg vehicle can go on the motorway??

Normal tractors can't, as they can not legally do the motorway minimum speed of 25MPH.

If your driving an ag vehicle on the motorway and your involved in a serious accident I.e deaths, id imagine youd be looking at a prison sentence, bit like the bloke that fell asleep in his landie and drove down an embankment into the path of a train:

im sure you can drive ag machine on motorway if you are doing works and police have been informed of it

I recently had to run my mates Fastrack and flail into the tm zone on the M25 with the artic because he was not allowed to drive it there. It was less that 1 mile but it was a firm no.
