We are still using Carlube oil with no issues, normally batch mixed in a 20ltr jerry can and dispensed from that. The only problems we have ever had are when the lads try to guesstimate a part fill/mix or mistakenly run a saw on the grinders fuel. I have only heard of horror stories using this oil, never witnessed any so believe most failures are down to incorrect mixes.

Still under £10 a gallon :)

cheers aspen, i dont use that much so i just mix 5ltr at a time. I will try this synthetic oil this time round, now i have bought it. Problem is, i use the same fuel in saws and strimmers alike, so i will see if there is any difference.

We mix 800ml in 20ltrs of fuel and it goes in everything. I know its over the top but we genuinely have never had any engine issues.

I was always the same method, I searched for a bottle of liquid that held £800 ml, ditched it and used the same wee bottle for 15 years, no issues.

I have been using Aspen now for over a year and wouldn't go back.

Aspen. Zero odours. Although my local supplier has adopted a policy of not supplying it so having to use stihl motomix at the minute - has an acrid smell to it and can be a bit smoky. Not as good esp. up close when climbing.

Wish I could get Aspen mail order but not in ridiculous quantities.
