My mate always used to tie his on as a back up to the sticky pads, then he tried to pull one off the pads off, now he doesn't bother! Mine has traveled miles on and off road on the roof of my tractor withou bouncing off.

I hear there's no need to use a laptop with the new hero3 as you can sync it to the go pro app on your iPad/iPhone for editing and uploading to social media ect

This true and easy to use?

In a way yes, you can do loads with the app, including delete stuff you don't want and you can upload stuff to the iPod wirelessly but it takes ages. I wouldn't bother havering one with out a computer to go with it.

I have the drift hd and can't complain. It was quite a bit cheaper than the gopro equivalent and same quality with more extras. I like the streamlined shape and no need for case it doesn't stick out nearly as much as the gopro. Only thing I would say is make sure u have a computer with a decent amount of ram to speed up editing especially if you record on high quality.
