I had a really old series 3 which would not have passed an inspection I was the only one that used it around my own house and yard. In the end it creaked and moaned so much I sold it. Another one now would be really useful but how often and how much does it cost to get the crane tested.

Just purchased a 127 defender cherry picker and having a few hydraulic issues any advice would be appreciated. When using the picker after about 15minutes the hydraulic fluid starts bubbling out if the filler cap do you think it might have air in the system? If thats the case any ideas on how to do it?

My crusher kept doing this. I thought it was overfilled with oil, which it could be in your case, as it gets hot, the exvess bubbles out.

Turned out in my case the pressure valve was faulty, and needed new seals

Too much oil in it or could be water in the tank that starts to mix with the oil and get frothy so expand and bubble up.

Check the level on the dipstick and then just say open the drane plug and see what comes out.

Probably worth changing the oil and filter in it anyway.

Or you could persuade the owner of this one to sell it......

All your profits would go in the fuel tank haha. Handy bit of kit though.
