I just dont get this obsession with mulching things. Loads of that wood would have been either nice on my woodpile or a decent home for some sort of wildlife.

 

A lot of energy for bu%%er all out of it, it's not like you can even take the chip away and burn it.

 

 

 

i'm with you on this one mate, what a waste of firewood...

I think that was a promotional vid, demonstration stuff.

 

But what if its not about the log pile or fluffy bunny ecology?

 

What if its about getting the tree out of the way so that something else can happen on that land?

 

This week we have mulched about 20 tons that could have gone into firewood. Its value was low, the extraction was problematic and the flail is quick quick quick
