waterproof jacket

I'm looking to get a waterproof jacket now the weather is going down Hill and wandered what you guys recommend?

I know a lot of you rate the cut and climb but does it come with a hood as well?

 

Hi James get a arcteryx jacket very good and last long time not cheap to buy but last a long time so in the end a cheap jacket thanks Jon

I don't know what Musto jackets are like but I've had a Musto light fleece for close on 25yrs. The carry bag it came in; I turned into a 12.5m throwbag for paddling. Even the bag is tough and hard wearing.

Note. I already had a 20m Yak throwline.

I'm having a go at a navey gore tex jacket surplus army coats brand new found it on eBay think it was only £35 they are fairly long so won't be that good for climbing but a brilliant groundsman coat worth a look

 

This is where I sent our team - ex army gortex. For the money nothing out there to touch it. Need to regularly to Nikwax it in the W Machine though.

I've got one of these Andrew, good kit, and hard wearing, but mine started leaking a bit last year, despite reproofing.

How long you had it Mark as I think Country Covers usually have a four year guarantee???
