Sadly here is nothing that can be classed as a tree surgery suppliers down this way , there was a shop in toeing mouth called the big tree ship but not sure if that's still going . What kills anything like this down here is the prices that are charged . Doug Bennett was a strange one either you got what you were looking for or doug tried to sell you a load of stuff you neither needed or wanted lol

Dougie said he was staying in shop at Tavi until December but not renewing the least after that. Great shame, great guy, helped me out no end and a sad loss to 'shop' arb gear (and advice, and banter, and abuse!) - no good moaning about a shop closing if you buy gear online though. It's like when a pub closes, everyone says what a pity but if you don't use it, you lose it!

Can any of the Cornish tree fighters recommend a bricks and mortar shop for tree climbing supplies?

I will be over for a few days this week and wanted to try on some spurs, and have a look at some other goodies while pasty scoffing!

I would rather not venture into Devon, but will if properly armed:001_rolleyes:

Careful if you go down past Hayle. Pasty meat down there has a touristy flavour

Hi NormandyLumberJack,

I visit Plymouth now & again & bought some carabiners & rope from Go Outdoors (PL4 0SE) but I suspect you want a supplier thats more Arb related, seems like theres a gap in the market as Radmore & Tucker is about 45 miles away.

Iv had 4 saws off Dougie and they were all either the same or cheaper then I could find online.

I don't know where I'm going to hire a chipper now:thumbdown:
