Egg-shaped burial pods feed the trees and turn cemeteries into forests

Planting things over corpses to feed them isn't a new concept: I've heard lore concerning planting roses over a fish and something else over a sheep!

Grape vines were traditionally planted over a dead sheep with the roots outside a greenhouse and the main stem inside.

Is that what they mean when they describe wine as full bodied?

I'll get my coat:laugh1:

Something similar to this already exists:

Arbory Trust - Burial Ground

There's a couple of others very similar in Herongate and Ashingdon. We attended the funeral of a family friend of my partner a couple of years ago and it was a lovely spot. What was really a nice touch was the family being able to put their father's ashes in with their mother.

How do you carry it? Bit undignified to roll it across graveyard and into the hole.....

Whats wrong with cardboard coffin?

I like the idea of prepping the grave and simply cracking it open, to let your loved one slump into its final rest. Everyone at a funeral needs a laugh. Friend of mine has his funeral in a week. Maybe I could pursade his wife... maybe not.

Very funny, what's wrong with cremation then sprinkle the ashes where you like?
