With the jet boil can you still take a flat pan and cook up a Friday fry up on it?

I'd say Coleman stove is most practical for us as it's hard as nails and if you run out of fuel in it just tip a bit aspen in and your back cooking. My old 1 got driven over so might get another this winter!

I've a large and small Kelly Kettle and love them both but very rarely use them for work (mainly camping and canoe trips); the benefits of the Kelly or such like is the ready supply of fuel etc (was told of a competitor in the Camel Trophy burning a pair of pants to boil the water.....).

However the speed at which the Jet-boil etc boil water is appealing especially Gray Gits comments about using Aspen fuel and using it in the van.

The jetboils have a range of add ons, frying pan, normal pan and even an attachment for using it up a tree etc.

my dad also made this little gadget for burning wood chip which is cool, best on camping trips because it smokes a bit but works great. It's a mini gasifier (if that's how you spell it) it burns the chip creating a flammable gas then burns that.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1411051741.454666.jpg.40474c4cb432f338438299b18401a430.jpg
