@Khriss I don’t get it, why did your mate get that fine figure of a man in to do the cutting for £400 when you would have done it as a favour?

Not saying you haven’t got a fine figure Khriss.

*  blushes  *  why Sir..! I do try ?   dunno really, its odd but i would not have removed tree without TO consent. But a bit of pruning might not have been wot the guy actually wanted  ?  K

...I worked twice for a few guys to help them  out as his climber had to leave mid job..his misses was in labour.. and had to dash off..  then the penny dropped... on the second day.. .... one of the guys looked like your pic ?

I want to take my little 230mm battery powered makita chainsaw to my local wood and chop some already fallen trees and take the logs home for my wood burner

Is this allowed? if not, what are the legal implications? fines etc?

cheers

If it’s your woodland, no problem.
Not your woodland...
Theft
Criminal damage
Trespass
Going equipped to commit crimes
Conservation areas
TPO’s
SSSI’s
Not to mention potentially violent land owners often equipped with dogs and shotgun.
Get permission.
