Second hand lorries are cheap, that cost me less than a transit

I found that true and mad! My euro6 iveco 75 was significantly cheaper than a transit tipper of the same age and miles.

I'm a big transit t350 fan but compared to a 7.5t it's words apart. Apart from the obvious payload advantage its tows a 3.5t trailer like a dream.

Very tidy, what do you recon the payload is compared to a tranny?

1752kg on these. Mine takes 1.4t on average with guys and tools on board. Impressive little truck. The only downside is the brutal suspension.

That is impressive... I could live with the bone-shaking cramped-ness for that kind of payload on a 3.5t truck. DVSA seem to be everywhere right now.
One of our tranny’s got pulled the other day.. 40 rolls of turf and a turf cutter, 3 guys - 800kg over.

Yeah the transits physically hold the weight much better but the payload allowance just gets people into trouble. This is why I got an Isuzu in the end. We can pretty much brim the box and be confident that we’re not over weight...unless it was all oak/beech etc.

We drive past the DVLA weigh Bridge most days on the A14 and knew it would only be a matter of time when we’re pulled.
