For any eagle eyed Renault Dodge afficionados, yes it is a mark 1 vehicle, but with the later mark 2 cab fitted. The original cab was a double cab with a lot of rot. I managed to pick up an ex military mk 2 cab, in sand coloured paint, absolutely rot free.

Winch doesn’t look like it listens to excuses.

As we all know you get a surprise every so often. I was once trying to winch out a six inch max diameter laurel stump, and I was on firm dry tarmac, the sort with nice sharp stones laid on wet tar, not smooth shiny stuff. Could not believe it when foot on the footbrake, pull with winch, and "Sheila" as I called her moved and laurel stayed put! But yes, the winch was quite useful occasionally. Still find use for the PTO winch on my series 3. That's my old mewp in the background, served me well for years.

Some close ups of a colleagues chip box on his Fuso.

Stainless frame, aluminium sheet and stainless roof flap.

Not sure why it's external.

Ingenious tool locker security bar that requires the chip box to be lifted slightly for access.

Am I right in thinking that the good old folk behind Reeves have stung us Pickup drivers again? BIK to be paid as if it was a car? Thanks for "not putting up taxes on working people!"

Going to look at a 2012 Ford Ranger tomorrow. 150,000 miles, 2.2l diesel. Looks good in the photos, obviously been looked after.

Anyone want to suggest any known problems I should be looking out for?

Quick Google ....failed EGR coolers , contaminated and or blocked inlet tracts , worn turbo chargers , the usual DPF problems , leaking and faulty fuel injectors , and coolant leaks . Apart from that ....😀
