The use of a few marketing psychohbabble words can multiply the price of anything by quite a few times. If you are in the right market its amazing what you can sell. Price it too low and it will gather dust in the workshop. Multiply the price by 10 times and you may struggle to keep up with demand! Lots of people out there with plenty of money just waiting to buy stuff like this. I wouldn't spend 10k+ on a dining room table but I do know a few who have done

They won't sell it for this, they'll be expecting to discount it, but still!! Redwood commands a premium over there. I've tried importing some Redwood in the past, very few suppliers and very expensive.

 

The Americans love a bit of poetic licence!
