I have an old Nissan D21 double cab and get 2 cubic metre bags on the back by putting the back tail gate down flat! Doesn't look or feel overloaded and easy to get off in under 60 seconds!

+1 have a d22 and put two bags on mine with tail gate down. no problem

How do you have the sides fitted to the tub? :confused1:

i secure the back board to the ladder rack and then bolt the sides onto that with 2 support bits that hold it securely with a load in.

it is a fairly temporary fix as i dont use it like that that often.

Mine holds 1.5m3 not sure how some people are getting an accurate 2m3 in there double cabs??

Fair point and mine wasn't measured but I'll bet you it was at least 1.75 cube; the extra .25 wouldn't be an issue.

For the benefit of the OP the main consideration is volume, not weight.

Hi woody, hardy is bang on its a 100" chassis the dimensions are aprox 6'wide 5'6" long and I'm guessing about 5' high... Rated at 3500kg so can legally carry 1.5 ton

It's a bit small but very usefull in a tight site !
