newbies ; top 10 do's and don'ts

we all start knowing not a lot and experience is some times painful or expensive . So what would be your top ten tips / advice to newbies to turn them into valued members of the team sooner rather than later and not irritate old gits like me .

Don't be afraid to offer your opinion too.

There is often a better way but if you don't speak up, you'll never find out.

The boss may not agree... But don't stop that from you offering an opinion on another scenario. It all helps for everyone to learn. Common sense prevails!! 😀

I always like a Groundie that wants to know why? And shows some interest in what he's actually doing! So don't be afraid to ask questions,

look after the gear you haven't paid for it but somebody else did..... Can't stand people abusing kit with the "it's not mine" attitude, totally unacceptable!

And get into the habit of pristine house keeping, so keep the work area clean, keep the climbers rope clear and free, and keep the chipping area tidy.

It's all common sense stuff really like doing things without being asked filling saws up etc it's only simple thing but it goes a long way
