If an AG mechanic cant fix it in 30 mins I will be amazed.

Do you not have a hydraulic override so you can move it if the engine fails or a problem like this happens?

The Bandits do. Sounds pointless at the time but apparently may be quite useful!!!!

How many hours on your 4012?

Really sorry to hear about your problems Stu, It sounds like very poor service Have you contacted trading standards uk and got their take on it?

Also, would your insurance cover any legal costs etc.? I know its different, but we had problems with our little van shortly after buying it, the patron of the garage told us to poke it, so got our juridique protection to get involved.

They sent a guy to the garage and got it fixed under threat of legal action.

£20k is a bitter pill to swallow, especially if your only washing it down with smoothies.

Chin up mon ami, I can lend you my Donk if it helps?

I was told initially that I had a 28day guarantee which I thought was rather mean.

I sent an employee to collect it and receive some induction at the same time.

He was made to sign for it, par for the course, not realising that he was also signing for it 'sold as seen'

I complained and got a verbal agreement that the 28days would be honoured.

However, I suspected a swizz...

It has been problematic from the beginning with erratic behaviour which mysteriously almost went away only to come back with a fury AFTER the 28 days had passed.

I have dropped it off at an Ag dealer who will try their best.

If no luck then I shall take a ferry back to Sussex and drop it back at the 'anonymous' dealership for them to fix at a mere £55 per hour +vat...

the thing to remember is that chippers and stump grinders all fall to bits its just a case of when .they don't seem to last that many hours at all before they need work done and if you think these are bad try fixing crushers or scrap shears

I have the same machine ty, my eratic running problems were a broken earth wire that was making intermittent contact when running.

Great machine.
