... we have now moved 1 mile in 1,10mins...

Once got jammed in roadworks outside Raglan, when some office-bod had decided to resurface the roundabout during a bank holiday. It was a memorable half mile, that took me 2hrs.

Not that bad but did hear a metallic noise disappearing behind me at about 40mph to find this when i stopped....

Noise was obviously the strap as the tank's plastic.

What gets me is it was only MOT'd a month ago and they didn't pick up on the state of it

Or someone got disturbed while trying to pinch the tank or fuel

That gave me a much needed chuckle. It might foggy out but it's too warm inside to sleep; been awake since 04:00. Still, fed the cat, done the washing-up, packed gear for the day and fed cat again. Now if the sun would make an appearance...

If it's not on the test schedule, it doesn't get tested.

If the corrosion were obvious it would have come under loose or dangerous body parts

I have had trucks fail on corrosion to air tank straps.
