we went to a friends wedding yesterday. they are a very adventourous couple and are saving hard for a canoe. so i carved them a paddle and had it lazer engraved. the GPS cordinates are the church.

nice touch and nice work ! I was admiring some very nice cherry paddles in a major kayak shop a while back thinking they are nice enough as a wall ornament , they were far to good to use !! (plastic is far more practical )

Nice beavertail that. If you carve another, try cherry or bass. Cherry is light, stiff, yet has just enough spring to save the joints, (elbows, etc.) on longer trips and windy conditions. Bass it light and stiff, mix it with maple, great if you're going to laminate.

Very nice indeed! I love my cherry otter tail paddles! Unless on shallow rocky rivers it's always a wooden paddle. But then, if I can't use a paddle I'd pole it.

That's great Tom, when I first saw it on fb I thought you'd cut the script! I was thinking DAMN that boy can carve some nice letters!

How much was the laser cutting?
