New Stihl online policy

Quite frankly regardless of which brand I use (husky now ;) ) if I could order online from my local dealer at 2am and still have it posted at my convenience then price is no issue.. honestly its about dealer hours, I don't expect you to work 24/7 just support the facility to order after hours without use of phone call.. using pay as example I can pay my lads on my phone at any moment so why would I make them wait till office hours?

If Stihl and Husqvarna read these threads can they explain why saws are so much cheaper in US than UK ? If something is made in Sweden surely it should cost less nearer to home.

 

The reasons why are because Stihl and Husqvarna treat each part of the worldwide market according to out right sales and volume. The market share

In the UK is a certain percentage and based on number of units sold annually

and spare parts determines the price of goods sold. If you compare the market share of North America to say all of Europe, and the UK your would discover that the North American market is much larger in comparison.

Now I agree that the prices of their products should be cheaper the closer they are to where they are manufactured, however the why part is above my rank and pay grade to figure out:sneaky2:
