I would speak to your bank, it often costs less than you think.

 

The advantage off the bank is its a lot easier to pay off if you have spare cash and feel like paying more off than your standard repayments.

I would go down this route personally.

However, quite often if its new machinery the finance companies often offer better interest rates than bank.

thankyou for the replies I will look into regular bank loans,jcb(are these loans applicable to equipment other than jcb stuff?) and arblease(do you end up owning the kit or do you have use of it for the duration of the loan then have to buy it with a final payment?)

Lease hire is a good option for tax benefits but the machinery needs to be near new... I tried to a lease set up on a 26 year old mog chipper crane combo a few weeks back and it was refused on the grounds it was to old though so your limited.
