Used one for a season once sticking thinnings through it. Gravity fed and plenty of power.

We had a pto driven 8" in 1984, it was the first chipper I used. It looked just like the front bit without the engine part and chassis.

It is a gravity fed machine with what looks like a 14" wide drum & knife arrangement. It's an old gal with what must be 40-50HP in that engine, so plenty of power.

 

Would it meet today's safety standards I wonder?

 

Haven't seem it running yet got that pleasure to come but I'm standing well clear.
