I know there are many topics on here on this, but was wondering what people pay someone just dragging brash to the chipper?

No saws or chipping involved.

What is payed on the books and cash?

Cheers

When o started out, with nothing the gent i was working for was going to pay me £50 a day.

He thought i was more useful and on the second day up'd it to £60.

Long days always knackered but enjoyed working and learning from him.

O paid in cash at the end of the week

Wouldn't know as we only employ climbers. When planting is slow the planters will come drag some brash they minimum they get is £75, they are expected to be switch on and alert and work as part of the team so seems fair.

Depends if it's someone who understands how to stack brash at the chipper, deal with the customer should they come out, see any potential problems and deal with them - or a lad with his hood up, earphones in and texting?

I'm 18, with nearly two years experience. CS30 & 38, and first aid at work plus own PPE and driving licence. I'm on £65 a day - that includes dragging brash, operating chainsaws, pole saws, hedge trimmers, Chippers etc and am the main rigging/lowering man.
