Best rope for zig zag ?

Hi all , I am currently using the zigzag mark 2 with a Yale Imori 11.7m rope. The rope seems to be a little tight and doesn't run just as smooth as I'd wish. The question is do I go for a

 

Tachyon 11.5mm climbing rope

 

Or

 

Marlow Aeris blue & yellow 11mm

 

I feel the 11mm would be better , just wondered if you can advise ,

I'm using imori and it's not bad, think it's 12 mm though not 11.5. I would steer clear of the tachyon, it would appear the zz2 doesn't like it and chews it up. Heard nothing but good about the yale blue tongue

The ZZ is ruining my tachyon. Go for any yale 11.7. Marlow aeris is too small diameter for the ZZ and is horrible rope anyway.

The ZZ runs best on blue argiope 11.7mm if you have it in the uk.

And I'm pretty sure the recommended diameter is no less then 11.5.

Seems like the 'Silky' blue tongue is a good un.

 

The tachyon has worked well for us though tbh, has had a very good bit of testing and the rope is looking fine.

 

Although the ZZ works well with a 13mm rope it is far better with a sub 12mm, it just depends if your climbing style will work with a thinner diameter rope.

Well on my zigzag 1.0 my tachyon got annihilated...
