Any thoughts on what lies ahead for the firewood industry.

If they are selling 250,000 stoves a year wheres all the fuel coming from in ten years time

Timber seems to be getting scarcer each year.

At least the radioactive Birch should be a better source of heat energy than the non-radioactive type.

So its win-win obviously!

Ha,Ha, I was thinking the same.

Maybe if or when farmers lose their grants and subsidies they will be keener to manage the woods for firewood. But then they will probably clearfell it all for greed.

Do i detect a chip on the shoulder

Who knows how things will be in 10 years time. People might get rid of them when the price of wood goes up. Might be a fashion thing for some people 'keeping up with the Jones' and they'll be onto the next big thing. Or maybe wood pellets will take over and all the chip will become valuable too!
