I agree. As a general rule of thumb i'd say a groundy with 1 years experience is probably worth more than a climber with 1 years experience...IMO I might add :001_smile:

Most climbers with 1 years experience can not climb for toffee IME. They are learning the trade and should pay their employer to work for them.. :001_tt2:

Im not saying im a brilliant climber and no i havnt got the experience but i can climb and have done loads of trees within the past year, nothing too major yet though. And i dont think anybody would pay their employer money to learn lol and i paid enough to college to get my tickets

I wasn't being totally serious......

Don't quote me on this but wasn't there something about a degree of responsibility for employers to make sure that subbys were at least in a position to declare earnings even if they don't. Anyone I use has to give me a utr no. before they start.

I think knowingly paying someone cash to work while they are signing on is the big no no.

sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

I know he doesn't sign on. Subbys can do what they like after I've paid them and had my invoice

Well,

I can put 600euros a week some-ones way if they fancy making a life here in France.

Mixed climbing/groundwork and you get fed.

Trouble is, you'll need at least some basic French at least to start with and enough character to make your own life without banging on my door every night cos your lonely and the French tarts in the village are laughing at your mullet.
