On the serious side of it though; it can be extremely dangerous to work around the stuff. I know a colleague that got a face full from a line trimmer. It left him with a debilitating illness. If the customer isn't going to clean it up I don't think I'd bother with the job.

On the positive side though; your quote could start off at some ridiculously high price and apply discount for removal of said poo......OR, you could get all geared up and use a line trimmer and just splatter it throughout the property for them before hand.

Ha!

The last bad Lawn Sausage infestation got troweled into empty plant pots.

I spent 30min trying not to gag and heave up my b'fast only to find dozens I'd missed using the rigging rope...BLERK!

If I had done the quote myself I'd have specified a good hour before hand for 'site prep'

The client may always choose a less precious Arbre company to do the work and I wouldn't want to risk insulting a client and losing ANY work.

Added £20 cleaning costs when the guy working with me stood on dog mess. If ropes or other kit contaminated it would have been a lot more.

Last year I spotted a load in the garden and stated £50 cleaning costs on the quote if we got fouled. That worked.

Quite right.

I can't believe people are not brave enough to ask the customer to do the correct thing and clean up after their pet for fear of loosing the work.

If they are a decent person, they will clear it up.

If not then let some other mug do the job...
