This is my 395 . It came from my buddie in Canada . Had at least 10 years . The full wrap was on it when I got it . Note the neat twin exhaust exits either side of the can . Not sure if this saw is ported or not . It had a Walker Saw shop sticker on the air box cover but that is just a sticker . Its going to Steve ( spud ) soon anyway . If he finds its already had work then so be it . I will pay him anyway . He has done most of my other saws . Just leaves big old 3120 !!

If that was a ported Walkerized saw, you wouldn't be asking if it were ported. Walker does a lot of muffler work, and typically dual port mufflers similarly to what you have there. Chances are that is simply a muff mod. The idle alone would tell you if it were ported.

Would there be anything i could do to my husqvarna 50 myself? I've been thinking about getting some of my other saws modded but thought i'd try it out on an old saw that i'm not worried about first to see what sort of difference it makes.

Typically you will be doing a muffler mod and widening the inlet and exhaust ports - just make sure you dont go within 2mm of the piston skirts, no more than 70% of bore and watch out for the ring ends - many Husqvarnas have single rings that makes the task much easier.

 

Also ensure the modified ports are beveled correctly otherwise you may snag a ring
