Saw for new groundy

Id say its the assessors. When I did my 30 my mate was let off for not wearing gloves. He should have failed. There are too many dodgy assessors about!

It is not a legal requirement to wear gloves so presumably the assessor just r/a it off and then it would be fine.

I recently did my cs30/31 (June 2013), did my training with a ms250 but had to do my assessment with a ms260 because the day before my assessment, while practising, the 250 chain brake snapped, the ms260 had a new chain on when i went to the assesment and the assessor took it outside and gave it a damn good grinding in some old knotty wood and in the dirt to dull the chain, leaving some cutters with chips in, then made sure i sharpened it correctly. He even got a mircometer and checked every cutter to ensure they were all correct, so I guess it depends on your assessor. it was a big part of the training for us to make sure we knew how to sharpen the saw.
