You think thats been "made safe"??

 

Not being funny, but to me it just looks like the easy bits been done and the bit that really needs doing (the stuff above the roof) is still there.

 

No I wasn't making a judgement on the status of the job in this thread, but rather generalising on what previous posts I'd read about rush/rescue jobs. I wouldn't want to stir comment on someones work as we are not allowed to in a insulting way on this forum. We need to get on nicely. But like the OP. I have left things unfinished and not as safe as I liked due to circumstances.

 

The positive is that someone is out there for the customer when you would struggle to get anybody of any trade. I remember the guage blowing off our heating oiltank one christmas eve and the fuel company wouldnt come out until the new year:thumbdown:

Normally but I'm the contractor for all this company's sites the sent me an order for works before I'd even seen anything, when I called them and said ill sort out a price they said price is irrelevant just bill us. It's a big company.

I work for a company like that. Just because they are big doesn't mean they don't know the value of a quid. Don't go in with a silly invoice,just bill them like you have done with a bit extra for the nature of the call-out. :001_smile:

Good advice :thumbup1:

 

After the invoice has been sent they may well request a break down of your costs.
