can't beat mature cheddar. Even the French who are supposed to know a thing or two about cheese don't generally stock it.

Good in sandwiches. Good on toast. Good in cooking. Whats not to like.

If you go on holiday- always take cheddar(preferably strong/mature)

My old team mate had Stilton with Christmas cake last year, we all thought he was mad, maybe he was onto a winner after all. I'll have to give it a go. Hopefully I'll be passing hartington cheese shop next week, might try it with the blue Cheshire I've got in the fridge as well.

Most boring goes to the laughable named, 'Seriously Strong Cheddar'. The only serious bit, is that it has the least taste of any cheese on the market and that includes plain cottage cheese.

We went to Chasworth Christmas market and got some decen Cheddars, one with Horseraddish, oen with Chilli, a very strong one and Apple Smoked.

All have gone down well with a bit of port and decent crackers......someone send me a saw that wont start - I need to work it off:001_rolleyes::lol:
