I had a mini once with a hidden locking battery switch in the boot, I think I got it from a marine chandlers, as boat security is also a problem, it needed a separate key to turn on so even if you did find it you cannot operate it,

It would be good to lock the brakes on some how?

I fitted a switch to cut the power going to the starter motor on one of my old Hiluxs . Many a morning I would forget to switch it on :laugh1: Saved me pulling the spade connector off the starter motor every night :thumbup1: I also slept better . I always think homemade security devices are better as a thief would probably not be able to deal with them as he will not of encountered them before .

Tracking device, removable steering wheel, hidden fuel and battery cut ofs, pedal lock, drive it onto the drive so its harder to get away and leave the transfer box in neutral, that's what I do.

As an alternative to a removable steering wheel, consider a substantial disc lock (such as the DiskLok) which covers the whole wheel. Mine has the scars on it from when somebody tried - and failed - to remove it with bolt croppers.
